Royal Canin Renal Cat Food is a complete dietetic feed for cats formulated to support renal function in the case of chronic renal insufficiency, through its restricted levels of phosphorus and high-quality proteins. Royal Canin RENAL  dry is also formulated to reduce oxalate stone formation through its low level of calcium and Vitamin D, and its urine alkalising properties.
Kidney Support: Low phosphorus (0.09%) and low protein (7.9%) content aid renal function. The proteins added are highly digestible to provide essential nutrition with small composition. Adapted Energy: It has an optimum energy content (1177 kcal/kg) to reduce meal intake and make up for appetite loss. Urine Dilution: High moisture content (77.0%) helps in a reduced concentration of urine and increased urine formation, for regulated renal function.
Aromatic choice: A specific aromatic profile with a dedicated kibble shape to help stimulate the cat’s appetite, particularly in cases of food aversion.

RECOMMENDATIONS: It is recommended that a veterinarian’s opinion be sought before use or before extending the period of use. Initially feed RENAL SPECIAL dry for up to 6 months in cases of chronic renal insufficiency and reduction of oxalate stone formation.

Maize flour, rice, dehydrated pork protein*, animal fats, maize gluten, vegetable fibres, maize, hydrolysed animal proteins, minerals, wheat gluten*, chicory pulp, fish oil, soya oil, mono – and diglycerides of palmitic and stearic acids esterified with citric acid, psyllium husks and seeds, fructo-oligosaccharides, marigold meal. Protein sources: dehydrated pork protein (14.4%), maize gluten (8%), hydrolysed poultry proteins (5%), wheat gluten (2.7%).
